vxlan-riot

Enables Virtual Extensible Local Area Network (VXLAN) Routing In and Out of Tunnels (RIOT) for an overlay gateway and configures the overlay next-hop partition size.
Syntax
vxlan-riot { enable | overlay-nhop-partition partition-size }
no vxlan-riot enable
Command Default

VXLAN RIOT is disabled by default.

Parameters
enable
Enables VXLAN RIOT.
overlay-nhop-partition partition-size
Specifies the overlay next-hop hardware partition size. Valid values are increments of 4000: 4096 (4000 entries), 8192 (8000 entries), 12288 (12000 entries), and 16384 (16000 entries).

Usage Guidelines

VXLAN RIOT is supported for RUCKUS ICX 7550 and ICX 7850 devices only.

After enabling VXLAN RIOT, you must use the write memory and reload commands for the changes to take effect.

By default, the partition size for the overlay egress interface table is set to 2000 entries when VXLAN RIOT is enabled. The remaining space is reserved for the underlay. The partition size for the overlay egress interface table is not configurable.

The no form of the command disables VXLAN RIOT.

Examples

The following example enables VXLAN RIOT.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# vxlan-riot enable
device(config)# write memory
device(config)# exit
device# reload

The following example disables VXLAN RIOT.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# no vxlan-riot enable
device(config)# write memory
device(config)# exit
device# reload

The following example specifies a partition size of 16384 entries.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# vxlan-riot overlay-nhop-partition 16384
device(config)# write memory
device(config)# exit
device# reload
