copy https startup-config

Copies a configuration file from the HTTPS server to the startup configuration file.
Syntax
copy https startup-config {ip-address|ipv6-address}filename[portport-num]
Parameters
ip-address
Specifies an IPv4 address for the HTTPS server.
ipv6-address
Specifies an IPv6 address for the HTTPS server.
filename
Specifies the filename.
portport-num
Specifies the TCP server port number. Valid values range from 1 through 65535. If no port number is specified, the default is 443.

Usage Guidelines

A reboot is required for the new configuration to take effect.

Note: Use caution when executing this command because the existing startup configuration is overwritten with the new configuration.

Examples

The following example copies the ICX startup configuration from the file cfg/backup.cfg on the HTTPS server at IP address 10.2.1.1 via port 876.

device# copy https startup-config 10.2.1.1 cfg/backup.cfg port 876

The following example copies the ICX startup configuration from the file cfg/backup.cfg on the HTTPS server with the IP address 10.1.1.1. Because no port is specified, the default port 443 is used. 

device# copy https startup-config 10.1.1.1 cfg/backup.cfg
