ipv6 deny-undetermined-transport

Configures the IPv6 drop rule where IPv6 fragment traffic is dropped if received with an incomplete header in the first fragment.
Syntax
ipv6 deny-undetermined-transport any
ipv6 deny-undetermined-transport ipv6-address
no ipv6 deny-undetermined-transport any
no ipv6 deny-undetermined-transport ipv6-address
Command Default

The IPv6 drop rule is not enabled.

Parameters
any
Specifies any source host.
ipv6-address
Specifies a specific source.
Modes

Global configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

TCP, UDP, OSPFv3, and VRRPv3 transport headers are supported.

The maximum number of filters that can be configured is16.

The no form of the command disables the IPv6 drop rule where packets are dropped if fragments are missing from the header.

Examples

The following example enables the IPv6 drop rule where packets are dropped if fragments are missing from the header for any source address. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ipv6 deny-undetermined-transport any any

The following example enables the IPv6 drop rule where packets are dropped if fragments are missing from the header for a specified source address. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ipv6 deny-undetermined-transport 2001:1::5:1 any
