uplink-port (Web Auth)

Specifies an Ethernet port or LAG to be used for connecting to the user's uplink switch.
Syntax
uplink-port { ethernet port |lag lag-id }
no uplink-port { ethernet port |lag lag-id }
Parameters
ethernet port
Specifies the port to be used for uplink to the web in the form unit/slot/port.
lag lag-id
Specifies the LAG to be used for uplink to the web as a numeric LAG ID. The valid range is 1 through 256.

Usage Guidelines

The no form of the command removes the uplink port configuration.

Configure the uplink-port command as part of Network Segmentation to allow the user/client to move to a RADIUS-returned VLAN, along with the access port, after successful Web Authentication. After the user/client is moved, the ICX system saves the updated port configuration to the startup-config file.

Be sure the username and password are associated with the new VLAN in the authentication server.

The Web authentication client for which the uplink-port is configured must not be a member of the Flexible authentication VLAN.

Examples

The following example configures an Ethernet port as the uplink port to be used by a user assigned to VLAN 6 for access to Web services.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# vlan 6
device(config-vlan-6)# webauth
device(config-vlan-6-webauth)# uplink-port ethernet 1/1/1

The following example configures a LAG connection for a user assigned to VLAN 10 for access to Web services.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# vlan 10
device(config-vlan-10)# webauth
device(config-vlan-10-webauth)# uplink-port lag 2
