map vlan-range (VXLAN)

Maps a range of VLANs to a VXLAN Network Identifier (VNI) for a VXLAN overlay gateway.
Syntax
map vlan-range vlan-id to vlan-id vni-start vni-id
no map vlan-range vlan-id to vlan-id vni-start vni-id
Command Default

VLANs are not mapped to the VNI.

Parameters
vlan-id
Specifies the first VLAN you intend to map over the VXLAN. Valid values range from 1 through 4095.
to vlan-id
Specifies the range of VLANs you intend to map over the VXLAN.
vni-start vni-id
Starts the VNI that will be mapped to the VLAN. Valid values range from 1 through 16777215.

Usage Guidelines

The default VLAN cannot be mapped to a VNI. The maximum number of VLANs in a range is 256.

For RUCKUS ICX 7650 and ICX 7850 devices, no more than 2 access ports per VLAN should be configured. 4080 VLAN VNI mappings are supported.

For RUCKUS ICX 7550 devies, no more than 2 access ports per VLAN should be configured. 3072 VLAN VNI mappings are supported when a maximum of 2 access ports are configured for each VXLAN mapped VLAN. 4080 VLAN VNI mappings are supported when a maximum of 1 access port is configured for each VXLAN mapped VLAN.

The no form of the command disables VLAN-to-VNI mapping for a range of VLANs.

Examples

The following example maps a range of VLANs (VLAN 200 through VLAN 300) to a VNI for a VXLAN overlay gateway. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# overlay-gateway gate1
device(config-overlay-gw-gate1)# map vlan-range 200 to 300  vni-start 20000
