site (VXLAN)

Creates one remote site for the VXLAN overlay gateway.

no site site-name

A remote site is not configured.

Specifies the name of the remote site.

Usage Guidelines

This command is supported only on RUCKUSRUCKUS ICX 7550, ICX 7650, and ICX 7850 devices.

A maximum of 32 remote sites can be configured. For each remote site, you must configure one primary IP address and up to 15 secondary IP addresses in site configuration mode. In site configuration mode, you must also extend the mapped VLAN to the site.

To implement redundancy, you can configure a keep-alive (ICMP ping) message per site and a retry counter. When a response is not received within the configured time (keep-alive interval multiplied by retry count), the active connection is assumed to be down, and secondary connections are tried according to the configured numerical order until an active connection can be established.

The no form of the command removes the configured remote site.
