ipv6 pim-sparse

Enables PIM Sparse on an IPv6 interface.
Syntax
ipv6 pim-sparse
no ipv6 pim-sparse
Command Default

PIM Sparse is not enabled on the IPv6 interface.

Modes

Interface configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

The no form of the command removes the PIM sparse configuration from the IPv6 interface.

Examples

This example adds an IPv6 interface to port 1/2/2, then enables PIM Sparse on the interface. 

Device(config)# interface ethernet 1/2/2
Device(config-if-e10000-1/2/2)# ipv6 address a000:1111::1/64
Device(config-if-e10000-1/2/2)# ipv6 pim-sparse
