ipv6 options drop

Configures the IPv6 options drop packet rule so that IPv6 packets that have extension headers, such as hop-by-hop and destination, are dropped.
Syntax
ipv6 options drop
no ipv6 options drop

The IPv6 drop packet rule and hop-by-hop header options are not configured.

Usage Guidelines

For hop-by-hop headers, option types 00, 01, 04, 194, 195, and 201 are permitted. For destination headers, option types 00, 01, 04, and 201 are permitted. For all other options, traffic is dropped.

Note: Dropping IPv6 options is not supported on ICX 7550 and ICX 7850devices.

The no form of the command disables the IPv6 drop packet rule and hop-by-hop header options.

Examples

The following example enables the IPv6 options drop packet rule for hop-by-hop and destination header options. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ipv6 options drop

The following example disable the IPv6 options drop packet rule for hop-by-hop and destination header options. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# no ipv6 options drop
