show ip pim rp-hash

Displays rendezvous-point (RP) information for a PIM Sparse group.
Syntax
show ip pim rp-hash group-address
Parameters
group-address
Specifies the address of a PIM Sparse IP multicast group.

The show ip pim rp-hash command displays the following information:

Output Field

Description

RP

Indicates the IP address of the RP for the specified PIM Sparse group.

Info source

Indicates the source of the RP information. It can be a static-RP configuration or learned via the bootstrap router. If RP information is learned from the boot strap, the BSR IP address is also displayed.

Examples

The following example shows RP information for a PIM Sparse group. 

device> show ip pim rp-hash 239.255.162.1

  RP: 207.95.7.1, v2
    Info source: 207.95.7.1, via bootstrap
