ip multicast version

Configures the IGMP version for snooping globally.
Syntax
ip multicast version [ 2 | 3 ]
no ip multicast version
Command Default

IGMP version 2 is configured.

Configures IGMP version 2.
3
Configures IGMP version 3.

Global configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

The no form of this command restores the version to IGMP version 2.

If Layer 3 multicast routing is enabled on the device, Layer 2 IGMP snooping is automatically enabled.
