`ip dhcp-server bootp ignore`

Enables the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server to process the Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) request received from the BOOTP clients.

Syntax

ip dhcp-server bootp
                  ignore

no ip dhcp-server bootp
                  ignore

Command Default

The DHCP server is enabled to process the BOOTP requests received from the BOOTP client at the global level.

By default, the BOOTP request is enabled at the global level.

The no form of the command enables the DHCP server to process the BOOTP request.

Examples

The following example enables the DHCP server to process the BOOTP request.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ip dhcp-server enable
device(config)# no ip dhcp-server bootp ignore

The following example disables the DHCP server from processing the BOOTP request.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ip dhcp-server enable
device(config)# ip dhcp-server bootp ignore
