DHCPv6 configuration mode
DHCPv6 subnet configuration mode
A maximum of four controller addresses can be configured in DHCPv6 configuration mode or DHCPv6 subnet configuration mode.
The controller address configured in DHCPv6 configuration mode is applicable to all the pools configured for a device. If a controller address is configured in DHCPv6 subnet configuration mode, it is applicable only for that subnet and the server will advertise that controller address to the clients.
The configured IPv6 address for a controller is restored after every reload. The IPv6 address is synced to the standby unit in a stacking system.
The IPv6 address for the controller cannot be configured via RESTCONF or the SNMP interface.
The ICX switch as a DHCPv6 client is not supported.
The following example configures the IPv6 controller address (option 52) for all the address pools.
