ipv6 pim neighbor-filter
Neighbor filtering is not applied on the interface.
Interface configuration mode
The
no form of this command removes any neighbor filtering applied on the interface.
You must enable PIM globally before you enable it on an interface.
You can configure the
ipv6 pim neighbor-filter command in either Dense mode (DM) or Sparse mode (SM).
Configure the ip access-list command
to create an ACL defining the devices you want to permit and deny participation
in
PIM.
This example prevents the host from becoming a PIM neighbor on interface Ethernet 1/3/24.
device(config)# interface ethernet 1/3/24 device(config-if-e10000-1/3/24)# ipv6 pim neighbor-filter
This example configures an ACL named 10 to deny a host and then prevents that host, 1001::1/96, identified in that ACL, from becoming a PIM neighbor on Ethernet interface 1/3/24.
device(config)# ip access-list standard 10 device(config-std-ipacl-10)# deny host 1001::1/96 device(config-std-ipacl-10)# permit any device(config-std-ipacl-10)# exit device(config)# interface ethernet 1/3/24 device(config-if-e10000-1/3/24)# ipv6 pim neighbor-filter 10
