disable (Port)

Disables a port.

disable

A port is enabled (active).

A port can be deactivated (disabled) or activated (enabled) using the enable command by selecting the appropriate status.

Examples

The following example disables or inactivate a port. 

device(config)# interface ethernet 1/1/1
device(config-if-e1000-1/1/1)# disable
