cfg-archive management compare-archives

Compares two archives and shows the differences between them.
Syntax
cfg-archive management compare-archives archive-name with archive-name
Parameters
archive-name
Specifies an archive.
with
Specifies that the archive be compared with another archive.

Usage Guidelines

There are three files involved while comparing two archive files: a baseline file, a compare file, and an ignore file. The ignore file contains strings that are used as a comment and should be ignored. There are two types of archive comparison; comparison between two archives, and comparison between the running configuration and an existing archive.

When two archives are compared, The first archive becomes the base file and the second archive becomes the compare file.

Examples

The following example compares two archives and displays the differences.
