port-profile

Configures a port profile on the device.
Syntax
port-profile port-profile-name
no port-profile [ port-profile-name ]

By default, no port profile is created.

Usage Guidelines

Port profiles are supported only on physical Ethernet ports. They are not supported on LAG interfaces, LAG member ports, or management ports.

The no form of the command without a port-profile name removes all configured port profiles.

Examples

The following example creates a static port profile and specifies the interface to which the profile is applied.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# port-profile profile1
device(config-port-profile-profile1)# ports ethernet 1/1/5

The following example creates a dynamic port profile and configures a Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) device entry.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# port-profile profile1
device(config-port-profile-profile1)# lldp-device system-name RuckusAP system-desc R720

The following example configures a MAC-OUI entry.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# port-profile profile1
device(config-port-profile-profile1)# mac-oui F8:E7:1E
