copy disk0 (config)

Copies the running configuration or startup configuration from disk0 to flash.
Syntax
copy disk0 { running-config [ overwrite ] | startup-config } { filename }
Parameters
running-config [ overwrite ]
Copies the running configuration from disk0 to flash. When overwrite is specified, overwrites the current running-configuration.
startup-config
Copies the startup-configuration from disk0 to flash.
filename
Specifies the destination filename on flash.

Usage Guidelines

Use the show files command to verify if the running configuration and startup configuration are copied to flash correctly.

Examples

The following example copies the running configuration from USB (disk0) to ICX flash memory. 

device# copy disk0 running-config running-config.txt           
Parameter Validation Successful
Running Config Download started
Running Config Download Done
Running Config Download Complete

The following example copies the startup configuration from USB (Disk 0) to ICX flash memory.

device# copy disk0 startup-config startup.txt
Parameter Validation Successful
Startup Config Download started
Startup Config Download Done
Startup Config Write Done
Startup Config Download Complete
