flexlink preemption delay

Configures the time delay before a Flexlink interface preempts the other link according to the configured preemption scheme.
Syntax
flexlink preemption delay time-delay
no flexlink preemption delay time-delay
Command Default

No preemption delay.

Parameters
time-delay
Specifies the amount of time an interface waits before preempting the other link and becomes the active link. The valid range is from 10 seconds through 300 seconds. Default value is 0.
Modes

Interface configuration mode

LAG interface configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

Preemption delay configuration is applicable only for forced and bandwidth preemption modes.

Preemption delay configuration and the preemption mode off are mutually exclusive.

The no form of the command unconfigures the preemption delay.

Examples

The following example sets the preemption delay to 100 seconds. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# interface ethernet 1/1/9
device(config-if-e1000-1/1/9)# flexlink preemption delay 100
