multicast tracking

Enables tracking and fast leave on VLANs.
Syntax
multicast tracking
no multicast tracking

Tracking and fast leave are disabled.

Usage Guidelines

The no form of this command restores the default, that is, tracking and fast leave are disabled.

The membership tracking and fast leave features are supported for IGMP V3 only. If any port or any client is not configured for IGMP V3, the multicast tracking command is ignored.

Examples

The following example enables tracking and fast leave on VLAN 20. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# vlan 20
device(config-vlan-20)# multicast tracking
