cdp enable

Enables Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) at the interface level.
Syntax
cdp enable
no cdp enable
Command Default

CDP is not enabled. CDP is enabled on an interface once CDP is enabled on the device.

Usage Guidelines

The no form of the command disables CDP on an interface.

Examples

The following example enables CDP on an interface. 

device(config)# interface ethernet 1/1/1
device(config-if-e1000-1/1/1)# cdp enable
