controller-address

Configures the controller address to be used by the DHCP server (option 52).
Syntax
controller-address ipv6-address
Parameters
ipv6-address
Specifies the IPv6 address of the DHCP controller.
Modes

DHCP configuration mode

DHCP subnet configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

A maximum of four controller addresses can be configured in DHCP configuration mode or DHCP subnet configuration mode.

The controller address configured in DHCP configuration mode is applicable to all the pools configured for a switch If a controller address is configured in DHCP subnet configuration mode, it is applicable only for that subnet and the server will advertise that controller address to the clients.

The configured IPv6 address for a controller is restored after every reload. The IPv6 address is synced to the standby unit in a stacking system.

The IPv6 address for the controller cannot be configured via RESTCONF or the SNMP interface.

The ICX switch as a DHCPv6 client is not supported.

The following example configures the IPv6 controller address in DHCPv6 configuration mode and at the subnet level (DHCPv6 subnet configuration mode).
