extend vlan-range (VXLAN)

Extends a range of mapped VLANs over a VXLAN overlay gateway.
Syntax
extend vlan-range add vlan-id to vlan-id
no extend vlan-range add vlan-id to vlan-id
Command Default

VLANs are not extended over an overlay gateway.

Parameters
add
Adds the VLAN range.
vlan-id
Specifies the first VLAN you intend to extend over the VXLAN. Valid values range from 1 through 4095.
to vlan-id
Specifies the range of VLANs you intend to extend over the VXLAN.
Modes

Overlay-gateway site configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

The maximum number of VLANs in a range is 256.

The no form of the command disables the range of mapped VLANs over a VXLAN overlay gateway.

Examples

The following example extends a range of mapped VLANs (VLAN 200 through VLAN 300) over a VXLAN overlay gateway.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# overlay-gateway gate1
device(config-overlay-gw-gate1)# type layer2-extension
device(config-overlay-gw-gate1)# site site s1
device(config-overlay-gw-gate1-site-s1)# extend vlan-range add 200 to 300
