Summary of Enhancements in RUCKUS One
Removed July 2026 features. Added August 2026 features.

Feature Description Location
WAN Port Selection You can now manually assign AP LAN ports to function as WAN ports for DHCP services and configure the Access Network Type (WAN or LAN) on Ethernet port profiles. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and control over upstream network connectivity by allowing you to define port roles instead of relying solely on automatic WAN detection.
Simplified Firmware Upgrade Policy Simplified ICX firmware management lets you select firmware versions from release train lists. RUCKUS One automatically upgrades only factory-default switches that join the network with an older firmware version. Administrators must manually initiate all other firmware upgrades, ensuring control over firmware versions across the network.
Troubleshooting Client Connectivity The DSE Client Troubleshooting Agent can analyze telemetry and PCAP data, pinpoint wireless connectivity issues, and auto‑generate RCA reports with causes, diagnostics, and recommended fixes. Troubleshooting Client Connectivity Using the DSE Agent
SmartZone Configurations Migration to RUCKUS One Enables migration of supported SmartZone configuration data to RUCKUS One through a guided workflow. The workflow validates configurations, helps resolve configuration gaps, migrates supported configurations, and registers selected access points for management in RUCKUS One. Display Stack Member Statuses Monitor stack member connectivity with accurate status indicators, distinguishing between Never Contacted" and "Disconnected" states, and remove offline members directly from the UI.
AI-Driven RRM: TxPower Algorithm and Channel Width Limits AI-Driven RRM now integrates a new TxPower reduction algorithm with configurable limits for both TxPower and Channel Width. Administrators can use default limits or override them to suit their deployment.
Service Validation for Switches RUCKUS One now supports VLAN-level service validation on switches for key network services, including DHCP, DNS, ping, and traceroute. Tests can be run on demand or scheduled at regular intervals to proactively validate service availability and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Service Validation for Switches
SLA to SLE Terminology Update RUCKUS AI now uses SLE (Service Level Expectation) instead of SLA (Service Level Agreement) across the UI, including Health dashboards, configuration panels, and reports, aligning terminology with industry standards. Throughout the Guide
