Location Based Service Server Overview
LBS can offer a wide range of functionalities, enhancing the user experience by enabling features such as location-aware access control, real-time location tracking, and geofencing. An LBS server is essential for ensuring real-time data analysis, storage, and distribution, enabling an efficient delivery of location-based services to users. Users are required to implement their own LBS server. The LBS workflow comprises three primary tasks:
- Data Collection: Devices (such as smartphones) send location data to the server.
- Data Processing: The server processes this data to determine the precise location.
- Service Delivery: Based on the processed data, the server delivers location-based services, such as navigation, tracking, or geofencing to the end-users.
