Creating a URL Filtering Profile

You must create a URL filtering profile before you can apply the profile to a WLAN or to a user role.
To create a URL filtering profile:
  1. From the main menu, select Security > Wireless Access Control > URL Filtering.
    The Wireless Access Control page is displayed.
  2. Click the URL Filtering > Profiles tab.
  3. Click Add to add a new profile. The Add page is displayed.

  4. Under General, enter a Name and optionally a Description for this profile. Click Next.

  5. Under Categories, select one of the content filtering category groups, in increasing order of strictness, or select Custom, and select any number of individual categories. Click Next.

  6. Optionally, Under Blocklist & Allowlist, you can add custom URLs to either block or allow. Allowlist and blocklist entries override the rules configured above. A maximum of 16 blocklist and 16 allowlist entries can be created per profile. Click Next.

  7. Optionally, Under Safe Search, enable or disable "Safe Search" functionality from Google, Youtube, or Bing.
  8. Click Add to add your changes. A maximum of 32 profiles can be created.
