sa-limit in

By default the device uses 4096 as the source active message limit for peers. Use this command to change the source active message limit between peers.
Syntax
sa-limit in {peer-ip | max-sa}
sa-limit in {peer-ip | max-sa}
Command Default

Source Active message limit is not configured.

Parameters
peer-ip
Specifies the IP address of the MSDP neighbor that the SA messages are sent to or received from.
max-sa
Specifies the value that you want to set as a maximum number of SA messages in the peer SA cache. Allowed values are 1024 to 8192. The default is 4096 messages.
Note: Ensure that you select a value that is equal to or less than the maximum SA messages limit configured at the global level. Use the show ip msdp peer command to display the Input SA-CACHE limit value configured at the global-level.

Usage Guidelines

Use this command if you want to configure an SA message limit to a specific peer that is less than the global SA limit.

The no form of this command removes the SA peer limit.

The following example sets the source active message limit between peers.

device(config)# router msdp
