`action`

Configures the logging action for a watcher configuration.

Syntax

action { failure | success } logging enable

no action { failure | success } logging enable

Command Default

No logging is performed for a watcher configuration.

Parameters

failure: Specifies to log a syslog message if an IPPM validation test fails.
success: Specifies to log a syslog message if an IPPM validation test succeeds.
logging enable: Specifies that syslog messages are logged.

Usage Guidelines

The no form of the command removes the logging actions configured for a watcher configuration.

Examples

The following example specifies that syslog messages are logged upon the success of an IPPM validation test.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# watcher name watch1
device(config-watcher-watch1)# action success logging enable

The following example specifies that syslog messages are logged upon the failure of an IPPM validation test.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# watcher name watch1
device(config-watcher-watch1)# action failure logging enable
