inspect

Configures the target host for an IP Performance Metrics (IPPM) profile.
Syntax
inspect { ip-address | ipv6-address | host-name } [ source { ip-address | ipv6-address } ] [ vrf vrf-name ]
no inspect { ip-address | ipv6-address | host-name } [ source { ip-address | ipv6-address } ] [ vrf vrf-name ]
Command Default

The target host for an IPPM profile is not configured.

Parameters
ip-address
Specifies an IPv4 address for the host.
ipv6-address
Specifies an IPv6 address for the host.
host name
Specifies the host name.
source
Specifies the source IPv4 or IPv6 address from where the test is triggered.
vrf vrf-name
Specifies a non-default VRF instance.

Usage Guidelines

If a non-default VRF instance is not specified, the default VRF is used.

The no form of the command removes the target host from the profile name.

Examples

The following example configures the target host for an IPPM profile. The IP address of the target host is 10.1.1.1. The source IPv4 address from where the test is triggered is specified as 10.2.2.2.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ippm profile test1 type icmp-echo
device(config-icmp-echo-test1)# inspect 10.1.1.1 src 10.2.2.2

The following example configures the target host for an IPPM profile for a non-default VRF instance. The IP address of the target host is 10.1.1.2. The source IPv4 address from where the test is triggered is specified as 10.2.2.2.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ippm profile test1 type icmp-echo
device(config-icmp-echo-test1)# inspect 10.1.1.2 src 10.2.2.3 vrf red

The following example configures the target host for an IPPM profile for a non-default VRF instance. The IP address of the target host is 10.1.1.13.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ippm profile test1 type icmp-echo
device(config-icmp-echo-test1)# inspect 10.1.1.13 vrf red
