`evpn-instance`

Configures a Layer 2 Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) instance and enters EVPN EVI configuration mode.

Syntax

evpn-instance value vlan-based

no evpn-instance value vlan-based

Command Default

There is no Layer 2 Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) instance by default.

Parameters

value: Specifies an EVPN instance ID. Valid values range from 1 through 4294967295.
vlan-based: Enables VLAN-based VXLAN.

EVPN configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

This command is supported for RUCKUS ICX 7850 and ICX 7550 devices only.

The no form of the command removes a Layer 2 EVPN instance.

Examples

The following example creates an EVPN instance with ID 1 and specifies that a VLAN-based VXLAN service model is used.

device(config)# l2vpn evpn
device(config-evpn)# evpn-instance 1 vlan-based
