`ethernet-segment`

Configures an Ethernet segment (ES) and enters ES configuration mode.

Syntax

ethernet-segment unique-es

no ethernet-segment unique-es

Command Default

There is no ES configured by default.

Parameters

unique-es: Specifies a unique ES ID to a group of links of related devices. Valid values range from 1 through 63.

Modes

EVPN configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

An ES is an identifier that groups diverse Ethernet links connecting to a multihomed environment.

This command is supported for RUCKUS ICX 7850 and ICX 7550 devices only.

The no form of the command removes a configured ES.

Examples

The following example configures an ES with unique ID 1 and enters ES configuration mode.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# l2vpn evpn
device(config-evpn)# ethernet-segment 1
device(config-evpn-es-1)#
