Usage Guidelines

Configuring this command resets the VXLAN bit in the BGP route-target value carried in BGP control messages to the peering VTEP. Some vendors have the VXLAN bit set and some have them reset. This command was introduced to make our devices inter-operable across all such different vendors.

This command is supported for RUCKUSICX 7850 and ICX 7550 devices only.

The no form of the command disables RFC 8365.

Examples

The following example enables compatibility with RFC 8365 by resetting the vxlan bit in the RT value.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# l2vpn evpn
device(config-evpn)# rfc-8365-compat-disable

The following example disables compatibility with RFC 8365 by setting the vxlan bit in the RT value.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# l2vpn evpn
device(config-evpn)# no rfc-8365-compat-disable
