Usage Guidelines

Note: Beginning in FastIron release 09.0.00, access control lists (ACLs) can no longer be applied to management protocols. Related binding commands are deprecated. The management access command is used instead to control incoming traffic from specific management protocols.

The management access command is used to set controls on incoming traffic based on source IPv4, IPv6, or MAC address and specified protocols.

The keyword all indicates the command line action is applied to all management protocols that can be specified for the management access command; that is, snmp, telnet, web (http), and ssh.

Available actions are allow and deny. A deny action specifies that the designated traffic is dropped.

Examples

The following example shows that management access for incoming Telnet and SSH packets is allowed on two sets of IPv4 addresses and one MAC address. The same MAC address also allows incoming SNMP packets.

src-ip 10.10.10.0/255.255.255.0 src-ip 1.1.1.1/255.255.255.255 mac CC:4E:24:D0:8B:81 allow telnet ssh
mac CC:4E:24:D0:8B:81 allow snmp
