ip tcp over-mac-multicast

Configures the ICX device to drop any control IPv4 of IPv6 TCP packets that have been sent using the MAC Multicast mechanism.
Syntax
ip tcp over-mac-multicast
no ip tcp over-mac-multicast
Command Default

By default, the packets are not dropped.

Modes

Global configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

This command is supported for ICX 8100 and ICX 8200 devices only.

The no form of the command removes the configuration.

Examples

The following example configures the ICX device to drop TCP packets sent using the MAC Multicast mechanism, which is erroneous and could signal a DDOS attack.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ip tcp over-mac-multicast
