`ikev2 retry-count`

Configures the maximum number of attempts to retransmit an Internet Key Exchange version 2 (IKEv2) message.

Syntax

ikev2 retry-count number

no ikev2 retry-count number

Command Default

The default number of attempts is 5.

Parameters

number: Specifies the maximum number of attempts to retransmit an IKE message. The range is from 1 through 25.

Usage Guidelines

The no form of the command resets the retry count to the default value.

Examples

The following example shows how to configure the number of retry attempts for transmitting an IKEv2 message to 8.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ikev2 retry-count 8
