Verification Commands: SPX PE Ring
Use the commands in this section to verify the PE ring status. A functional PE ring should be in an Active FSM state. For more information on FSM states, refer to PE Ring FSM States.
The following command output confirms the presence of a single PE ring, Ring 1, and shows that it is in the Active state. The output indicates that the logical block for this ring is between PE 20 and PE 21.
ICX7750-48F Router# show spx ring all ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ring Id |FSM State |CB port Lag |Remote CB port Lag |Log Block Link ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 ACTIVE 1/1/5 3079 2/1/9 3075 PE20x--xPE21
The following command output lists the chain of PEs connected to each CB port. It indicates the state of the PE ring. If the PE ring is in the Active state, the logical block location is indicated in the "Chain" section by the "x-x" symbol. If the PE ring is in the break state, the SPX PE chains do not have redundancy.

The output lists all PE units in the ring (under "Chain"), identifies the upstream ("Uplink") and downstream ("Cascade") port for each PE unit in the ring, specifies the previous and next PE in the chain, identifies the logical block point, and displays the state of each PE.
