Configuring Guest Pass Manager Authentication

Authentication servers are used to authenticate users assigned the Guest Pass Manager role when accessing the Guest Pass portal. The selected authentication server determines how user credentials are validated before access to the portal is granted.

To configure the authentication server, complete the following steps:

  1. From the main menu, select Services > Guest Access. The Guest Access page is displayed.
  2. Select the Guest Access Manager Authentication tab.

  3. For Authentication Server, select the server from the dropdown list.
  4. Click Apply to save the selected authentication server configuration or click Reset to discard any unsaved changes and restore the previously applied configuration.

Accessing the Guest Pass Portal

Users with the Guest Pass Manager role can log in using their configured authentication credentials to generate guest passes.
To access the guest pass portal, complete the following steps:
  1. Enter the URL of the Guest Pass request page in your web browser.
    https://[host_ip_address]/guestpass

    Users can also access the URL QR code from the Guest Access Manager Authentication page or Add Role page for fast and convenient access to the portal.

  2. Enter your username and password and click Login.

Changing User Password

Authenticated users of the Guest Pass Manager portal can change their own password.

To change your Guest Pass Mananger user account password, complete the following steps:

  1. Enter the URL of the password change page in your web browser.
    https://[host_ip_address]/user/user_changepass.jsp

  2. Complete the following fileds:
    • In the Username field, enter your username.
    • In the Current Password field, enter your current password.
    • In the New Password field, enter your new password.
    • In the Confirm New Password field, re-enter your new password.
  3. Click Save to apply the password change.
