Switch Registration Rules

ICX switches can be pre-configured and mapped to the SZ cluster and zone in RUCKUS Network Director. Though RUCKUS Network Director provides the option to import all the associated switches while adding the cluster, switches can be provisioned separately by configuring the following switch registration rules to assign the switches to SZ cluster:
  • Switch registration by switch serial number: Allows you to map the switch serial number to a SZ cluster or zone.
  • Switch registration by IP/Subnet mask: Allows you to add IP address range using Subnet for switch discovery. During switch discovery, if RUCKUS Network Director finds a matching IP address in one of the subnets defined in the rules, the switch will be assigned to the associated SZ cluster.
