Managing RUCKUS Network Director Configuration Backup

The RUCKUS Network Director configuration file can be backed up at any given point of time. The downloaded data can be restored later using the backup file to replace all the current RUCKUS Network Director data.

Complete the following steps to back up RUCKUS Network Director configurations and upload the data using the backup file.

  1. On the menu, go to Admin > Backup & Restore.
    The Backup & Restore window is displayed.
  2. In the Config Backup panel, click Download to download the RUCKUS Network Director configuration backup.
    The Export DB confirmation dialog box is displayed to confirm whether you want to export the database.
  3. Click Yes! Export to download the RUCKUS Network Director config backup file. A confirmation message is displayed indicating that RUCKUS Network Director backup is successfully completed. Click OK.
  4. In the Config Restore panel, click Upload to upload the backup file to RUCKUS Network Director.
    The DB Config Import window is displayed.
  5. Click Choose File to navigate and select the backup file and click Upload.
    This action replaces all the current RUCKUS Network Director data with the uploaded backup data.

The backup setting allows you to specify the location where you want to store the configuration backups. Configuration backups can be stored in RUCKUS Network Director server and SFTP server.
