The RUCKUS Network Director User Guide provides information to help you start using RUCKUS Network Director to manage your SmartZone clusters and access points (APs).

The document contains the following components:

  • Getting Started: Provides information on starting to use RUCKUS Network Director and the Dashboard.
  • Working with Clusters and APs: Offers instructions for monitoring, adding, moving, and deleting clusters and APs.
  • Performing Administrative Tasks: Provides information on adding user accounts, managing system settings, and more.
  • Working with APIs: Documents API-specific information.

Supported Controllers and AP Models

The current release of RUCKUS Network Director supports the following controllers and APs:

  • APs 3.1.2 and later releases (SZ100, SZ144, SCG200, vSZ(E&H), and SZ300) joining a vSZ
  • SmartZone 3.4.2 and later releases (SZ100, SZ144, SCG200, vSZ(E&H), and SZ300)
  • SmartZone APs running the latest SCG/SZ (3.4.2 and later) firmware versions
  • AP solo (out of factory AP image) 104.x and later versions
Note: ZoneDirector controllers are not supported by RUCKUS Network Director.

Supported Web Browsers

The RUCKUS Network Director Admin portal is primarily accessible using only the Google Chrome web browser.
