Working with APIs

In addition to configuration management through the web portal, RUCKUS Network Director supports Application Programming Interface (API) to allow the customers to provision the RUCKUS Network Director using public APIs.

The API Framework plugin provides all API services to manage the controller and its managed APs. A common SZ module will handle the session and API communication between SZ cluster and RUCKUS Network Director. To access the API developer tool, click API on the menu. Release-specific API versions are available for the user to choose from while provisioning the RUCKUS Network Director using public APIs. The availability of the previous versions facilitates backward compatibility. For more information on how to use APIs, refer to the ND API Reference Guide.

  1. Creating API Tokens
    API tokens are used to authorize the user to access the API. This allows the user to directly access the API without having to provide the login credentials.
  2. Updating API Tokens
    This feature allows the user to activate or suspend the existing API tokens.
  3. Deleting API Tokens
    This feature allows the user to delete the API tokens.
