Working with Time Schedule Profiles
A
Time Schedule profile specifies the hours of the day or week during
which a WLAN service is enabled or disabled.
For example, a WLAN for student use at a school can be configured to provide wireless access only during school hours. This example involves creating a time schedule profile, and when configuring a WLAN, selecting the schedule profile to enable or disable the WLAN service during those days and hours.
Note: Creating a Time Schedule profile will not work
properly if the system does not have the correct time. To ensure that the system always
maintains the correct time, configure an NTP server and point the system to the IP
address
of the NTP server.
Note: When configuring the WLAN time schedule, all
times are based on the time zone setting of your browser. If your browser and the
target AP
and WLAN are in different time zones, configure the on and off times according to
the
desired schedule according to your local browser. For example, if you want a WLAN
in Los
Angeles to turn on at 9 AM and your browser is set to New York time, configure the
WLAN time
schedule to enable the WLAN at noon.
