Installing an RPS17 PSU

You can install a new RPS17 Power Supply Unit (PSU) into EPS4000 while the device is powered on and running.

Note: While installing a PSU, wear an ESD wrist strap.

Danger: For safety reasons, the ESD wrist strap should contain a series 1 megohm resistor.

  1. Put on the ESD wrist strap and ground yourself by attaching the clip end to a metal surface (such as an equipment rack) to act as ground.
  2. Remove the four screws that hold the PSU slot cover in place.
