Verifying the Access Point Support Licenses

Users can verify the Access Point support expiry and view the AP support license information on the controller web user interface.

To verify the support expiry and license information, navigate to Administration > Licenses > Installed Licenses. To view the license status, click Summary in the VIEW MODE.

Compliant Case

The Access Point support license expiry is synchronized with the controller to determine if an upgrade is allowed. The controller verifies the Access Point support license and allows the upgrade if the license is valid. The Status of the license is displayed as Compliant.

Non-Compliant Case

In this case, the Access Point support license is not purchased by the user or it is expired. The license Status is displayed as Non-Compliant.

Note: The user can manually initiate an upgrade by navigating Administration > Upgrade > Browse and select the image (.ximg) file. After the upgrade is complete, click Verify Upgrade Eligibility button and this displays a message to purchase the license to enable future firmware upgrades automatically.
