Creating a CLI Template from an Existing Switch Backup Configuration

The Copy Config as Template functionality allows you to modify an existing switch backup configuration and use this configuration in the form of CLI template which can be applied to other switches.
Complete the following steps to copy a switch backup configuration to the CLI template.
  1. From the main menu, click Network > Wired > Switches to open the Switches window.
  2. In the left navigation pane, select a switch group.
  3. Click the Configuration Restore tab.
  4. Choose a switch backup configuration and click the Copy Config as Template button.

    The CLI Templates window is displayed. The selected backup configuration is copied in the CLI template.

  5. Edit the configuration in the CLI template as per your requirements.
  6. Click Save & Next to save your changes.
You can now apply the modified CLI template to other switches.
