- Managing AP CertificatesAP certificates are essential for enhancing security by authenticating and securing communication between APs and the network. They ensure that only authorized devices can connect, thereby preventing unauthorized access and potential security breaches. Certificates are used in various authentication methods, such as EAP-TLS, to establish trusted connections and maintain the integrity of the network.
- Restricted Access OverviewThe Restricted Access profile provides a mechanism to restrict unauthorized access to the AP and allows access to authorized users, thereby increasing the inherent security of the AP. The access point node on the network can be vulnerable to malicious attacks. The AP is a critical node on the network and therefore such an attack can expose the whole network. The Restricted Access profile can be created without having any blocked ports or enabling well known and additional entries in the allowlist ports. It can be configured in multiple ways through controller user interface.
