LED Off Delay

The LED Off Delay feature automatically turns off the Access Point (AP) LED indicator 10 minutes after a reboot or when the feature is enabled. This helps reduce LED visibility in environments where minimal lighting is required.

Feature Overview

The LED Off Delay feature ensures that the AP LED indicator turns off automatically 10 minutes after a reboot or when the feature is enabled. After the AP successfully reboots, the LED stays on for 10 minutes and then turns off, regardless of any LED configuration settings from the management platform. When the feature is disabled, the LED behavior is restored to the controller's LED settings.

This functionality helps reduce LED visibility in operational environments while maintaining clear status indication during critical boot phases.

The LED Off Delay feature can be configured on the APs using the following Command Line Interface (CLI) commands:

  • set led-off-delay enable
  • set led-off-delay disable

Requirements

Supported on SmartZone Controller version 7.1.1 Patch 1 Refresh and later.

Considerations

Consider the following when using this feature:

  • When the feature is enabled, the LED remains on for 10 minutes after the AP completes a reboot or after the command is applied.
  • During this period, any LED status configurations from SmartZone or cloud management platforms are ignored.
  • Disabling the feature will cause the LED behavior to revert to the AP LED settings configured in the controller.
  • Ensure that enabling this feature does not conflict with other LED-related configurations or operational requirements.

Limitations

The LED Off Delay feature is supported only on T670 APs.
