Marking Rogue Access Points
To mark a rogue (or unauthorized) Access
Point as known.
Once a controller detects a rogue device, it alerts the network administrator, attempts to disconnect the rogue device and classifies the threat level.
In the list of discovered rogue access points, you cannot classify the rogue type. However, you can manually override the discovered rogue AP as Known or Malicious. To mark a rogue AP as known or malicious, perform the following:
- In the main menu, navigate to .
- Select the rogue AP from the list and select Mark as Known or Malicious or Ignore from the drop-down list. The classification Type of the rogue AP changes as per the selection. You can also select the rogue AP from the list and click Unmark to change the classification.
