Assigning a Power Profile on Wi-Fi 7 Access Points

A Power Profile specifies how a Wi‑Fi 7 AP adjusts radios, peripherals, and interfaces within PoE limits, throttling or disabling features as required to let you manage power based on the PoE operating mode.

You can assign a power profile at the Zone, AP Group, or individual AP level.

Refer to Feature Overview for a comprehensive explanation of Power Profiles.

Note: The Power Profile option is supported only on T670 and R575 APs.

To assign a power profile to an individual AP, follow these steps:

  1. From the main menu, navigate to Network > Wireless > Access Points.
  2. From the list, select the AP for which you want to apply model-based settings and click Configure.

This displays the Edit AP page.

Similarly, you can assign the Power Profile option at the Zone or AP Group levels by editing the AP Model Specific Configuration for the required AP model at the Zone or AP Group.

The configured AOPP profile applies at the Zone, AP Group, or AP level. The AP dynamically adjusts feature availability based on the profile and PoE operating mode. Any transmission reductions or feature disablements appear in the Power Profile Detail view and affect AP behavior immediately.
