Traffic Policy

The following table details entries for managing traffic policies, including rate limits, traffic classifications, and actions for exceeding traffic thresholds. SmartZone support these traffic policies and assign them to ACLs, making the ACLs more flexible to use.
Note: SmartZone 7.1.1 is an upcoming release of SmartZone.

Traffic Policy

Name, OID, and syntax Access Description
ruckusTrafficPolicyMIB

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51

Not-accessible The MIB module that gives the traffic policy information.
ruckusTrafficPolicy

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1

Not-accessible

The entry for traffic policy information.

ruckusTrafficPolicyTable

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1

Syntax: SEQUENCE OF RuckusTrafficPolicyEntry

Not-accessible This table lists various traffic policies configured in the system. Each entry corresponds to a specific traffic policy and includes important details such as the policy's name, type, rate limiting configurations, and other associated parameters. The table manages and retrieves the configurations for each traffic policy; however, direct access to the table itself is not permitted through SNMP GET or SET operations.
ruckusTrafficPolicyEntry

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1.1

Syntax: RuckusTrafficPolicyEntry

Not-accessible This entry in the traffic policy table represents a specific configuration of a traffic policy. Each entry corresponds to a unique traffic policy identified by the ruckusTrafficPolicyName index. It contains detailed information about the traffic policy, including its type, rate limits, associated actions, and other parameters relevant to the policy's operation. The access to individual entries in the table is not permitted through SNMP Get operations.
ruckusTrafficPolicyName

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1.1.1

Syntax: TrafficPolicyName

Read-only The name of the traffic policy entry uniquely identifies a traffic policy within the system.
ruckusTrafficPolicyType

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1.1.2

Syntax: TrafficPolicyType

Read-only

The configured traffic policy type in the system specifies whether it is based on byte counts or packet counts.

ruckusTrafficPolicyRateLimitType

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1.1.3

Syntax: TrafficPolicyRateLimitType

Read-only Describes the type of rate limiting applied to the traffic policy. It specifies whether the rate limiting is adaptive or fixed. Adaptive rate limiting adjusts dynamically according to traffic conditions, while fixed rate limiting maintains a constant rate regardless of fluctuations in traffic.
ruckusTrafficPolicyCIR

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1.1.4

Syntax: Unsigned32

Read-only Specifies the Committed Information Rate (CIR) defined for the traffic policy. The CIR indicates the average bandwidth rate measured in bits per second that the traffic policy guarantees for a specific traffic flow. This rate represents the amount of data that can be transmitted under normal network conditions, ensuring a consistent level of service for traffic that complies with this policy.
ruckusTrafficPolicyCBS

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1.1.5

Syntax: Unsigned32

Read-only Specifies the Committed Burst Size (CBS) for the traffic policy. The CBS indicates the maximum amount of data that can be sent in bursts at the Committed Information Rate (CIR) before congestion control measures are applied. Typically measured in bytes, the CBS represents the amount of data that can exceed the CIR in short bursts.
ruckusTrafficPolicyPIR

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1.1.6

Syntax: Unsigned32

Read-only Specifies the Peak Information Rate (PIR) for the traffic policy. It refers to the maximum rate at which traffic can flow beyond the Committed Information Rate (CIR) during peak usage times. It is usually measured in bytes or bits per second and signifies the upper limit of traffic flow during periods of high demand.
ruckusTrafficPolicyPBS

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1.1.7

Syntax: Unsigned32

Read-only Specifies the Peak Burst Size (PBS) for the traffic policy. It defines the maximum amount of traffic that is allowed to exceed the Committed Information Rate (CIR) during bursts at peak times, in conjunction with the Peak Information Rate (PIR). The PBS ensures that excess traffic can be accommodated during brief periods of high demand without overwhelming the network.
ruckusTrafficPolicyCounter

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1.1.8

Syntax: TruthValue

Read-only Indicates whether traffic accounting is enabled for a specific traffic policy. This object returns a `truthValue` that shows whether the policy is actively tracking traffic counts for its rules. This information can be used to monitor if the traffic accounting features are operational within the traffic policy.
ruckusTrafficPolicyExceedActionType

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.51.1.1.1.9

Syntax: TrafficPolicyExceedActionType

Read-only Specifies the actions that are implemented when network traffic exceeds the limits defined by the traffic policy. The type of action taken is specified by the `TrafficPolicyExceedActionType`, which determines how packets are managed when they exceed pre-defined thresholds, such as the Committed Information Rate (CIR) or Peak Information Rate (PIR).
