Defining an Authentication Key
To define an authentication key for Network
Time Protocol (NTP), use the authentication-key command. To remove the authentication key for NTP,
use the no form of the command.
By default, authentication keys are not configured.
device(config-ntp)# authentication-key key-id 1 md5 moof
The key string is the value of the MD5 or SHA1 key. The maximum length of the key string is 16 characters. Up to 32 authentication keys can be defined.
Note: If Joint Interoperability Test
Command (JITC) mode is enabled, only the SHA1 option
is available.
